On a recent visit to Israel, Bonnie Baskin of Minnesota, and her family were greeted with a royal welcome when they arrived directly from the airport on a brief visit to Israel. In honor of Bonnie's birthday the children presented her with a number of handmade gifts and a lovely cake. Ms. Baskin was also introduced to participating mothers who spoke of the impact Afikim is having on their lives. In addition to the children's performance, visitors and children participated in a special arts and crafts project in honor of the upcoming Passover holiday. Before leaving for their long drive North and the beginning of their holiday, the guests participated in the distribution of food parcels and shopping vouchers, both a gift from Afikim supporters in honor of the Passover holiday.
