Spring is in the air and nearly everyone has a sprint in their step – except, the thousands of needy families who have nothing to look forward to during this holiday season but additional expenses. Afikim makes painstaking efforts to help some of these families have the holiday they deserve – a holiday of fun, of comfort and of joy. A holiday without constant worry - a holiday to feel free as we are commanded on Passover. This year, thanks to generous donations of friends and supporters in Israel and abroad Afikim distributed hundreds of baskets of fresh produce as well as vouchers to local stores for the exclusive use of Afikim participants. In addition Afikim facilitated day camps for children prior to the holiday giving them the gift of fun and and knowledge in preparation for the holiday.
